Love

The four lettered word 'love' is the reason humans are able to survive in this cruel world. It holds you in its warm embrace when the world is weighing heavy on your shoulders. It gives you the hope to get through each day and I, intentionally, try to find it everywhere around me. There are moments when I feel such intense adoration for the people I love that I don't know how to express what I feel for them and how grateful I am to have them in my life. Their mere existence in my life is a blessing.

We often emphasise on romantic love but platonic love is no less important. There were times when I was drowning but platonic love kept me afloat. When I was heartbroken and my friends were there to gather those broken pieces and heal something they didn't break. How fortunate I was to be surrounded by such connections during a difficult time.

I often think about this one quote:

"Everything in the entire universe is always about love and when it isn't about love, it is about the absence of love."

And this quote is so freaking true because isn't everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more? 

I can label love as cliche or shun the thought of it but I can't because it is all I am made of. It is what gives my life some meaning and makes my heart flutter despite being horribly treated in the name of love. But that didn't take away my ability to give and receive love fully because my love is mine, all mine. 

So until I find that calm peaceful kinda love which will be worth the risk, I'll keep believing in the power of it. And even if I don't get to experience such a love in this lifetime, I would be happy to just witness it.
