Little Things

Isn't life all about finding ways to romanticise the little things? I think it is. Life can be very cruel at times, we feel as if nothing will ever get better and we'll be stuck in the same situation forever but then something as trivial as a baby smiling back at you makes your day. A random stranger asking you if you are okay because they saw you crying, leaves an imprint of that kindness on your heart. The weather suddenly improves and you are listening to your oldie goldie 90's playlist, missing that time of old school love when you didn't even exist. Catching up with an old friend and having heartfelt conversations make you love this little life.

There's this Indian show called "Little Things" too which beautifully portrays the simplicity of a romantic relationship. It was the little things in their relationship that helped them get through even the toughest of times but those things are not little, they are huge because love does not require grand gestures and proclamations, it is hidden in those small kind gestures you do for your partner and that is what makes a relationship strong and ever lasting.

Anyone can talk to you about superficial things but there will be very few people with whom you will feel safe opening up your heart. People who will honour your sensitivity and take care of it. People who will feel like sunshine in human form. People who will learn your love language and notice how little things can make you happy but also little things affect your mood and make you sad. Those are the people worth having in your life because deep meaningful connections are rare these days.

On some days, nothing will make sense and not even little things would be enough to brighten up your days but remember that such days will pass and you'll find joy and peace again because life is too short to not see beauty in our everyday lives when it is literally all around us if we pay attention :)
